I am a qualified and experienced Massage Therapist in Holistic, Lomi Lomi, Deep Tissue and Sports Massage. Each session is tailor made to the client's particular needs and requirements. Deep Tissue Massage can help specific problems such as repetitive strain injury, posture imbalance and to increase joint mobility and range of motion. Alternatively a soothing, healing and deeply relaxing massage will simply release physical and emotional tension.
I run a clinic from 11am to 9.30 on mondays, thursdays and fridays at the Movingartsbase in Islington, N1 1LA, the Central YMCA off tottenham Court Road on sundays and I do home visits in zones 1 and 2 only.
I am also available at other times by arrangement.

I am a professional and experienced Massage Therapist who is committed to providing the best treatment for my client. I treat each client as an individual and tailor the treatment to their specific requirements. I very much enjoy the work I do and am able to provide a professional, yet friendly service. I am ITEC qualified in Holistic and Sports Massage and have a certificate in both Advanced Massage Techniques and Lomi Lomi.
Deep Tissue Massage aims to release the chronic patterns of tension in the body through slow strokes and deep finger pressure on the contracted areas, focusing on the deeper layers of muscle tissue. When muscles are stressed, they block oxygen and nutrients, leading to inflammation that builds up toxins in the muscle tissue. Deep Tissue Massage can help specific problems such as repetitive strain injury, frozen shoulder and posture imbalance and to increase joint mobility and range of motion.
Lomi Lomi originated in Hawaii and is very much nurturing and sensual but not a sexual massage using warm oil. Long flowing rhythmic movements or used to massage the whole body.
Swedish massage originated in Sweden and is the original massage technique involving a sequence of movements working superficially and deeper into the tissue layers.
Movements such as effleurage work over the skin with the palm of the hand producing relaxation, whereas movements like petrissage work deeply.
Petrissage movements such as wringing and kneading will help to relieve tension promoting deep relaxation in the tissues and muscles.
Holistic Massage is basically Swedish massage but with a more holistic approach.
Swedish/ Holistic and Lomi Lomi massage are all deeply relaxing and meditative, helping to release emotional and physical tension. I combine all of these techniques and I would recommend this type of massage for stress relief. Each treatment will however be adapted to the client's needs.
Sports massage is good for releasing muscle tension and restoring balance to the musculoskeletal system. It reduces strain and discomfort caused by training or participating in sport and it encourages the body to heal and repair any injuries sustained.
The main benefit of sports massage is that it improves muscle flexibility, blood circulation and reduces swelling, aids the prevention of sports injuries and assists the body with recovery and repair after sports injuries have been sustained.
